This site may help you get around : http://www.ukguide.org/london/londonmap.html
Before we start I should warn you that I've never actually been to London. I would very much like to go there but haven't been able to. This guide has been created from information I have gathered from my sources on the previous page. I presume they are correct but make no promises to the absolute accuracy of the information contained herein.
I am always interested in hearing about corrections, additions, or donations
of scans of current pictures. Please let
me know.
Getting around London
The Underground (the tube) is usually the quickest way around London. All directions in this guide are based from a tube station when possible or else from the nearest bus station.
If you're planning a lot of riding around London you might want to invest in a travel card. They can be a daily, weekly, or monthly pass. They allow unlimited travel in the zones you require. London is divided into six travel zones that extend from the city's center into the suburbs.
The worst times to travel on public transportation is during rush hours, typically 8:00 - 9:30 am and 4:30 - 6:30 pm. Also, be aware that the one-day travel cards cannot be used before 9:30 am.
